How the order is decided
Five plain questions for each property, settled in prose, never in points.
Only the overnight counts
icerinkchampions follows a guest from the kerb to the pillow and back to the departure lounge: the setting, the architecture, how restful each bedroom is and which sights sit an after-dinner walk away. The gaming hall gets logged the way a parking garage would be, and it carries no weight in either direction.
Sentences in place of scores
You will not see stars, decimals or averaged guest reviews here. Each position reflects editorial judgement, explained in ordinary language within the review.
Money cannot move a hotel
There is no price, from any hotel, chain or marketing agency, for joining this list or climbing it. Outbound links are clean: no affiliate tags, no commission deals, no reservation widgets.
Five questions, every hotel
| Question | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Is the place worth the trip? | Whether the destination earns a visit with the hotel taken out of the picture, and how much of it is reachable car-free. |
| Does the building have character? | Design, history or setting that lingers in a guest's memory once the suitcase is unpacked at home. |
| How good are the rooms? | Floor space, daylight, the view, and any gap in standard between one tower or wing and the next. |
| What else is there? | Pools, spas, restaurants, gardens, stages and outdoor excursions that make the journey sensible with the casino ignored. |
| Who will enjoy it most? | The traveller most likely to be pleased, condensed into the "Best for" line closing every review. |
Keeping it current
icerinkchampions reopens every entry on a fixed cycle, and sooner if a property reflags, refits or shuts its doors. The month printed next to the ranking heading records the latest pass.
